Berriew
Appearance
Berriew (Aberriw in Welsh) is a village and former parish in Powys, Wales. It was part of the historic county of Montgomeryshire. The village gets its name from being at the confluence ('aber') of the Afon Rhiw with the River Severn.[1]
The parish church at Berriew is dedicated to St Beuno. The first church dates to the 13th century, with later churches built in 1712 and 1876.
