Bettina Anderson is an American socialite, best known for dating Donald Trump Jr..[2]

She graduated from Columbia University in 2009, where she studied art history.[2]
Her parents are described as philanthropists, and Bettina and her brothers also founded a charity, The Paradise Fund.[2] People magazine described it as "a nonprofit that helps local organizations with disaster relief." She plays a role in granting funds to documentary filmmakers, who make films about Florida wildlife.[3]
The Palm Beach Illustrated used her a model, in a 2021 article touring high-end bars, in Florida, describing as a "local influencer".[4] Us Weekly also called her a model and influencer, and reported she had 38,000 instagram followers.[1]
She is a licensed diving instructor.[3]
Relationship with Donald Trump Jr.[edit]
The Daily Mail reported that she had been seen together with Donald Trump Jr. on one other occasion, three months prior to their widely reported outing, on December 10th.[5]
People magazine reported friends of the pair said they had been dating for six months, and that he had taken her to Alaska, where he introduced her as his girlfriend.[6] Friends said the pair's plan was to postpone having their relationship known until after the 2024 Presidential election.
Trump's father, Donald Trump, the incoming President, announced he planned to appoint his son's fiance Kimberly Guilfoyle to the post of Ambassador to Greece.[7][8] Although the incoming President listed multiple skills that would make Guilfoyle an excellent Ambassador, commentators agreed it seemed like a cynical favor to his son. People magazine reported Anderson wanted to wait until after the election for news of her relationship with Donald Trump Jr. to be made public.[9]
Anderson was Trump's date at a New Year's Eve celebration at his father's [[#redirect Mar-a-Lago resort.[10]
The press focussed extra scrutiny on the pair during the lead up to Trump's father's second inauguration, and during the inauguration itself, as he and Anderson were always together, and she was his date for the inauguration, itself.[11][12] Page Six reported friends of the pair say the pair are "essentially living together".
Criticisms of Anderson from within the Trump transition team[edit]
According to the New York Post and the Daily Mail insiders within the Trump transition team have warned Trump and Trump Jr. that they believe Anderson is angling for a political appointment to an Arts related board.[3] Citing anonymous sources the New York Post says critics claim Anderson thinks she can broaden Trump's support among the wealthy liberals found in the Hamptons and Palm Beach.
Citing anonymous sources the New York Post reports critics are concerned she has made social media posts supporting Black Lives Matter movement, and in favor of wearing masks to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.[3]
The New York Post reports critics have used posts from Anderson's instagram feed to characterize her as "anti-child".[3] One post features a photo of a glamorous Anderson pushing a baby-cart full of boutique shopping bags, with the caption "When my friends tell me the joys of having children, I'm always moved by just how tired they look."
On December 31, 2024, The Independent reported Anderson posted a defiant social media message containing a video where a narrator quoted from the Exodus chapter of the Bible, followed by the assertion God was on her side.[13]
