Carbon
Carbon is a solid. Carbon is also on the Periodic Table. Carbon exists freely as a diamond or graphite, and as a constituent of coal, limestone, and petroleum, and is capable of chemical self-bonding to form an enormous number of chemically, biologically, and commercially important molecules. Carbon has a symbol on the Periodic Table as "C" and the atomic number of carbon is 6.
