Cardiovascular disease

Cardiovascular disease is disease of the heart and blood vessels. It includes heart attacks, atherosclerosis, strokes, infarcts, congestive heart failure, and other problems. It is the leading cause of death in human beings.

Smoking and exposure to air pollution are contributors to cardiovascular disease. There is also a genetic component.
