Churchill River (Arctic)

From Encyc
The Churchill River's basin lies entirely within the Canadian Shield.

The Churchill River is a clear clean wilderness river, with its headwaters in Saskatchewan, that empties into the Arctic Ocean, at Churchill, Manitoba.

The River's route was modified, to divert much of its flow to the nearby Nelson River to be harnessed by its hydroelectic plants.
