Constantinople

Constantinople, formerly known as Byzantium and now known as Istanbul, is a city located in Turkey. It controls the narrow water passage between the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. In years past it was the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire and then the Ottoman Empire.
