Cooh

Cooh is a DJ and producer of drum and bass music from Bulgaria. He's also known as Balkansky.

He was born in Troyan, northern Bulgaria. At age 16 he joined a metalcore band as a bassist. He later got involved in electronic music at age 18. In 2002 he started promoting the drum and bass genre in Bulgaria together with Ogonek. Cooh graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia.

Under the nickname Balkansky he released an album in 2008, Kuker, a collaboration with kaval player T. Spassov. The album combines Bulgarian and Balkan folk music with dubstep and other electronic music genres. (text in bulgarian)
