Driver's license

From Encyc

A driver's license is an official document certifying that an individual has authorization, from a government body to operate a motor vehicle on the roads maintained by that body.

Usually law enforcement officials honor driver's licenses issued outside of their jurisdiction.[1] About once a year Canadian, traveling in the United States, encounters an American traffic cop, who does not understand this principle.[2]
