Encyc:References

From Encyc

a proposed system for making references easier:

list references in the bottom of the article in the order that they are added using non-wiki mark-up

reference in the article, after the period of the sentence or paragraph in which the cited material was referenced using as set of parenthesis () and the number of the reference for example. (1.)

if references are to be removed, then do not re-number the references. if there are ten references, and the fifth and six references had been removed from the article, then it would be numbered 3...4....7.... and so on.

URLs[edit]

include the URL and link title

Books[edit]

add the author, title, year, and edition (only if there are multiple editions), and page number, if applicable

Scholarly papers[edit]

Add the author or authors, year, title, journal, and page number and other necessary identifying information
