Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a city at the southern tip of the Iberian peninsula, facing the Strait of Gibraltar. It is a territory of Great Britain. It has great military value as a naval and air base and was used to control German submarine movements during World War II. The German high command wanted to conquer it but any attack would have probably violated Spanish neutrality. It is currently English-speaking and the citizens like the present status.
