Gliese 710

Gliese 710 is an orange dwarf star that will come close to the Solar system in 1.3 million years.[1][2]

The star's name shows it is part of the Gliese Catalog.

In 1.3 million years Gliese 710 will dive 0.166 light-years (10,500 au) deep into the Oort Cloud.[3] It is an orange dwarf star, its mass is approximately 60 percent that of Sol, our sun, while its brightness is only 4.5 percent.[4] It is currently over 62 lightyears away from the Solar system

Its smaller size and lower surface temperature means that it has only 4.5% of the luminosity of the Sun. It lies at a distance of 62.3 light years from us. Its distance and luminosity give it a magnitude of 9.66, making it too faint to be seen with the naked eye. It is not known if Gliese 710 has any planets.
