Hair
Hair is a filament of hard epidermis, growing from the skin of an animal or the roots of a plant. In humans, it is mainly found on the top of the head, though males can grow beards and moustaches around the mouth, and most people have some hair over most of the body.
In plants, the hairs are the main place where water and nutrients are absorbed.
