Horn

A horn is a hard pointy head growth common in many herbivore mammals. It is often used for defense.

Horns can be hollowed out and used as musical instruments or for communication. Boromir carried the horn of Gondor, which had an intimidatory effect on the Uruk-hai.

Rhinocerouses are famous for their one large horn. This has worked to their disadvantage, as some Asian buyers pay poachers to kill them so that the horns can be ground up into aphrodediacs of dubious value.
