Llanfihangel Bryn Pabuan

Llanfihangel Bryn Pabuan is a former parish in Powys, Wales. It was in the historic county of Brecknockshire, and is now in the community of Llanafan Fawr. The settlement is made up of its church and one nearby house, and was likely never much more than this.
The origins of its name are obscure, meaning "St Michael's church on Pabuan's hill" but the name Pabuan is unusual. The church perhaps originally started as a chapelry to Llanafan Fawr, and dates back to the 13th century.
The other building in the settlement is Ty Gwilim, dating back to the 18th century, but perhaps an earlier building was at this location in the past.
Until some time in the late 19th century there was a third building, a cottage off the eastern edge of the churchyard. Its remains can still be seen today.
