Llangynog
Llangynog is a Welsh place name referring to the parish or church of St Cynog. There are 4 places called Llangynog:
- Llangynog, Carmarthenshire
- Llangynog, Montgomeryshire
- Llangynog, Brecknockshire
- Llangunnock, Herefordshire (also spelt as Llangynog)
The places in Carmarthenshire and Montgomeryshire still exist as villages with their own community councils. The Llangynog in Brecknockshire was also a parish in the past, but was never its own settlement, and very little remains of it today.
Llangunnock in Herefordshire (England) was never any more than a township of Llangarron parish, and the name seems almost unused today.
