Mill

Grain is fed through the square hole in this middle of this millstone, and, as the millstone is rotated, the grain is milled, exiting as flour in the spout facing the camera.

The term mill may refer to the act of grinding foods, like cereals, or to the facility where the food is ground.

For millennia millstones were turned by water-power and wind-power.
