New Zealand

New Zealand is a country in the southern hemisphere, in the Pacific Ocean, south-east of Australia. The capital is Wellington. English is the most spoken language, and Maori is also spoken.

The country is formed by two main islands and several smaller ones, which are what remains of an ancient continent which sank into the ocean around 23 million years ago.
