Norway

Norway is a country in northern Europe. It is part of Scandinavia. The people speak Norwegian and the capital is Oslo. The climate is very cold. In northern Norway, there are Lapps, a group of people similar to Eskimos.

During World War II, Norway was conquered by Germany. The invasion was helped by the treason of Vidkun Quisling, and his name has been synonymous with cowardice and disloyalty ever since.

Norwegian Elkhounds are a breed of dog. They are adapted for a variety of roles including hunting moose ("elg" in Norwegian) and pulling heavy loads.
