Oman
Oman is a country on the Arabian Peninsula. It has a population of around 5.5 million. The capital city is Muscat.
Oman has been ruled by the Al Bu Said dynasty since 1744. In the 19th century the Omani Empire was at its peak, with control extending from the southern coast of Persia in the north to Zanzibar in the south.
