Opioids

From Encyc
(Redirected from Opiods)

Opioids are synthetic drugs, designed to work like raw opium, and drugs like morphine, codeine and heroin, that are refined from opium -- collectively called opiates.

Like opiates, opioids primary medical use is pain relief. Like opiates, opiods can induce euphoria. Like opiates a side effect of opioid use is constipation.

Like opiates, opioids are very addictive.
