Pride and Prejudice (Netflix series)

In 2024 Netflix started preparing to produce a new miniseries, based on Jane Austen's 1813 novel Pride and Prejudice.[1][2]

Writer Dolly Alderton, is going to write the series.[1]

Production firm Lookout Point would produce the series, if it it "greenlit".[3]

The Tatler reports that Emma Corrin is writer Alderton's choice to play Elizabeth Bennet.[4] Mamamia surveyed fans' actor wishlists, and reported that, in addition to Corrin, fans like Daisy Edgar-Jones as a choices to play Elizabeth Bennet.[5] Fan choices for Elizabeth's love interest, Mr. Darcy, included Dev Patel, Jonathon Bailey, Paul Mescal, and Henry Cavill.
