Public service advertisements

Public service advertisements or announcements are ads paid for by the government which attempt to promote certain behaviors in the populace. A famous example is the "This is your brain on drugs" or "Just Say No" series of ads run in the 1980's and meant to dissuade people from abusing drugs.
