Renegade Hardware
Renegade Hardware is one of the most important record labels in the drum and bass music scene. It was created in South London by CEO Clayton H. and Mark H. in 1995. The label was initially a subdivision of the original Trouble on Vinyl.
The label had its first release in 1996, and it established itself as one of the most influential labels. It featured many artists and groups, such as Konflict, Keaton, Usual Suspects, Universal Project, Dom & Roland, Friction, Cause 4 Concern, Ink, Loxy, Raiden, EBK, Evol Intent, John B, Gridlok, Spor and many others.
In 2003, Barcode Recordings was created as sister label to Renegade Hardware, which began to release material more oriented towards the darker and heavier sound of drum and bass music.
The Trouble on Vinyl Music Group went into liquidation in 2007, which has caused Renegade Hardware to decrease releases.
