River Ogmore

The River Ogmore (Afon Ogwr in Welsh) is a river in south Wales. The river flows mostly south from its source, in the hills of the South Wales Valleys.

Its source is at Craig Ogwr, north of Nant-y-moel in the Ogmore valley. It then flows past many villages, including Wyndham and Lewistown, and then joins with the River Garw at Brynmenyn, before reaching a much more urban section. Past Tondu it joins with another tributary, the River Llynfi, then flows through the town of Bridgend and the small village of Merthyr Mawr, before joining up with its largest tributary, the River Ewenny and entering into the sea. Its final segment, after joining the Ewenny, forms part of the border between Bridgend county borough and the Vale of Glamorgan.
