Swedenborgianism
Swedenborgianism (sometimes called The New Church) is a religious movement inspired by Emanuel Swedenborg.
The fundamental belief of this movement is that God revealed a deep spiritual meaning of the Scriptures to Swedenborg, thereby telling him the truth of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Its followers believe that Swedenborg witnessed the Last Judgment and the inauguration of the New Church in a spiritual sense.
The ideas of Swedenborgianism had a strong influence on Mormonism and the work of William Blake.
