T.S. Eliot

From Encyc
T.S. Eliot, 1920

T.S. Eliot was an early 20th century poet who cashed in on the pain caused by World War I by writing The Wasteland, a long poem with some clever classical allusions. His other big achievement was The Lovesong of J Alfred Prufrock, lamenting the passage of time and mortality or something.

He was buddies with Ezra Pound, the well-known fascist poet and antisemite.

He won a Nobel prize for literature.
