Such a loss. She was great, especially in Eurotrip. Enki (talk) 18:57, 26 February 2025 (EST)
References[edit]
@LeicesterLass, are you taking list-defined references, and moving them from the reference section into the body of the article?
I think there are some pretty good reasons why no one should do that, even when they prefer to see references in the body of the article. Similarly, I don't move references from the body of the article into the reference section, at least not without a good reason.
It's confusing. It is particularly confusing when the second person not only moves the references, but changes it by adding or deleting newlines.
The diff engine really relies on newlines to know when an article is changed. When someone adds or deletes newlines the article may render identically, to the reader, but, to the diff engine, it looks like it has been extensively changed. In you edits you didn't just move the reference, and you didn't only remove newlines, you made other changes, too. But, because you removed the newlines, I would have to make an effort to determine whether your changes were only made for aesthetic reasons, or whether you found a genuine errors.
There is a very widely accepted principle in engineering, and in practical DIY -- do-it-yourself-ism, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it..."
I'll make a deal with you. I won't change references you or anyone else wrote, unless absolutely necessary, and, in return, can I ask that you don't make unnecessary changes to the references I write?
