55 Cancri A e

From Encyc

The exoplanet 55 Cancri A e is the innermost of five planets orbiting 55 Cancri A, a yellow dwarf star 41 lightyears from the Solar system.[1][2]

The planet is about 8 times the mass of Planet Earth, and its orbital period is less than one day.[1][2] The radius of its orbit is 0.015439 astronomical units.[3]

In 2012 press reports, summarizing recently published papers by Astronomers, characterized it as a "diamond planet".[4][5]
