55 Cancri A
Appearance
The yellow dwarf star 55 Cancri A is the brighter of the two [[star[[]]s in a binary star system located 41 lightyears from the Solar system.[1][2] They are found in the constellation Cancer.
55 Cancri A is slightly less massive than Sol, our sun.[2] It is dimmer than Sol. Based on its composition Astronomers believe it to be over 8 billion years old, almost twice Sol's age.
Astronomers have detected five exoplanets orbiting the star, exoplanets with unusual properties.[2] The four inner planets were detected through a detailed analysis of the doppler shift of the star's spectral analysis.[3]

Binary star 55 Cancri is located 41 light years away from the Sun. It consists of a yellow star and a red dwarf. There are multiple known exoplanets in this system.

We report 18 years of Doppler shift measurements of a nearby star, 55 Cancri, that exhibits strong evidence for five orbiting planets. The four previously reported planets are strongly confirmed here.
