Appearance

Aberystwyth is a town on the west coast of Wales. It is the largest town in Ceredigion, with a population of 14,640 as of 2021.
Aberystwyth is best known for its university. It was established in 1872 as University College Wales, and after some renames it is now known as Aberystwyth University.
The name Aberystwyth means "mouth of the River Ystwyth", though most of the town is actually closer to the mouth of the River Rheidol.
Aberystwyth is also the location of the National Library of Wales.
