Africa is a continent on Earth. It is south of Europe. It is bordered by the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, on its west and east coasts, respectively. And it is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea on its north coast.

There is less industrialization in Africa and it is often considered to be a less developed area of Earth.

Africa is home to the large Sahara Desert which separates North Africa from Sub-Saharan Africa.

There is a diverse array of wildlife including elephants, lions, gorillas, chimpanzees, crocodiles, rhinoceroses, zebras, giraffes, and others.

Geography of Africa[edit]

Africa is the second-largest continent in the world, after Asia. Africa covers 6% of Earth's total surface area and 20% of its land area, covering 54 fully recognised countries.
