Amazon

From Encyc

The Amazon is a river in South America.

There is much dispute about whether the Amazon or the Nile is the world's longest river. It is undoubted that the Amazon is the world's widest, and has the greatest annual flow. An argument can be made that the Mississippi is the longest, if the Missouri is counted as the same river.
