Apocalypse Now

From Encyc

Apocalypse Now is a war movie from 1979 about the Vietnam War. It was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. It is based on the novel Heart of Darkness, by Joseph Conrad.

Kurtz reads a book, The Golden Bough, about sacrificing a god-like figure when they start to weaken and then having a new person take their place. South Park poked fun at the same idea with the way the media treats Britney Spears.[1]
