Belgium is a country in Western Europe. Dutch is spoken mainly in the north, and French is spoken in the south.

History[edit]

Belgium is named after the Belgae, who were inhabiting the area when first encountered by the ancient Romans. More recently Belgium was invaded during the Napoleonic Wars, World War I, and World War II.

Food[edit]

Belgian Waffles come from Belgium. Belgium also exports a lot of beer.
