Napoleonic Wars

From Encyc

The Napoleonic Wars took place from the end of the 18th century until 1815.

France, following the French Revolution, fought a series of wars against almost every other European Power, conquering most of the continent at one point and threatening Great Britain with an amphibious invasion. Led by Napoleon Bonaparte, a brilliant general who was dictator of France, the French army fought some of the most interesting campaigns in military history.
