Bicameral

In political science the term bicameral is used to refer to national legislatures, or state or provincial legislatures, that have two kinds of legislators, who sit either in a lower house or an upper house. In the United Kingdom and the United States, the House of Lords and the Senate are their upper houses, while the House of Commons and the House of Representatives are their lower houses.
