Black Sun Empire
Black Sun Empire is the name of a dutch musical group (three people) who produce drum and bass, dubstep and breaks music.
Originating from Utrecht, they started making drum and bass music around 1995. Before that they produced techno and breaks. After releasing some material on small record labels they attracted the attention of producers like Trace. Black Sun Empire own three record labels: Black Sun Empire Recordings, oBSEssions and Shadows of the Empire.
The group's name comes from Black Sun Crime Syndicate, a fictional organization of criminals in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
One of their tracks, Arrakis, was featured in the E3 2006 trailer of Eve Online (a MMORPG videogame).
They started producing dubstep music in 2008.
In their drum and bass productions they have cooperated with other artists such as Noisia, Concord Dawn, State of Mind, Kemal, Dom & Roland, Optiv and others.
