Aberdulais Aqueduct, in Blaenhonddan community

Blaenhonddan is a community in Neath Port Talbot county borough, south Wales. It has a population of around 11,500 and is made up of six villages: Aberdulais, Bryncoch, Cadoxton-juxta-Neath, Caewern, Cilfrew, Waunceirch. In some form the community council has existed since 1894.[1]

In the past Blaenhonddan was just one of the townships of the expansive Cadoxton-juxta-Neath parish.[2] In 1833 it was described as a hamlet with a population of 1,029, intersected by a turnpike road leading into Brecknockshire.[3]
