Blair House

Blair House a residence operated by the US Government, describes itself as "The President's Guest House".[1][2] The White House was effectively rebuilt during the early years of Harry Truman's Presidency, and during that time he lived in Blair House, which is a short walk from The White House.
The original Blair House was built in 1824.[1][2] It was purchased to serve as a guest house for the President in 1942. Its guests have included Queen Elizabeth II, Winston Churchill, Vladimir Putin, Nikita Kruschev and Charles de Gaulle.
As of 2026[update] the Blair House complex incorporates four connected townhouses, totalling 70,000 square feet (6,500 m2).[2]
