Bus rapid transit

Transportation experts use the term bus rapid transit to refer to a rapid transit line carrying a relatively large number of passengers using buses. Typically most of bus rapid transit route will use a dedicated right of way. Some bus rapid transit routes have short sections where the buses share traditional road with other surface vehicles. They may have elaborate stations, with boarding platforms, fare paid zones.
