Cheetah

Cheetah is the fastest land animal. It can go somewhere around 70 miles per hour. It is a big cat that lives naturally in Africa. It has spots and is a mix of sort of yellow/orange and black.

It is a member of the order Carnivora, family Felidae.

Habitat

Cheetahs are found in various habitats like mountainous areas or terrains with dense vegetation. In order to hide from predators, cheetahs prefer environment with lush vegetation such as tall grass or bushes. Cheetahs in eastern and southern Africa occur mostly in Savannah such as the Kalahari and Serengeti. In central, northern and western Africa cheetahs inhabit arid mountain ranges and valleys; in the harsh climate of the Sahara cheetahs prefer high mountains, which receive more rainfall than the surrounding desert.
