Cwmbelan

From Encyc
Cwmbelan Wesleyan Chapel

Cwmbelan is a small village in Powys, Wales. It is in the parish/community of Llangurig, halfway between Llangurig and Llanidloes on the A470 road. Historically it was part of Montgomeryshire.

Cwmbelan is on a small stream named Nant Gynwydd, near where it joins the River Dulas.

In 1875 Cwmbelan had two chapels (Zion Baptist Chapel, Cwmbelan Wesleyan Chapel),[1] two inns, a smithy, and several cottages.[2]
