Eskimos are a people indigenous to Arctic areas. Most are in the north-east of Russia but they also live in Greenland, northern Canada and Alaska. They constitute the majority of the population in the Canadian territory of Nunavut, created in 1999.
Hopefully, Eskimos is not an offensive term.
