Glandwr, Pembrokeshire
Glandwr is a village in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
It is located near the Preseli Hills, where the River Gafel meets the River Taf. The Taf forms the border with Carmarthenshire.
Glandwr Independent Chapel was built in 1712 and enlarged in 1717. It was enlarged/rebuilt in 1774, 1800, 1836 and 1876.[1] It was historically in the parish of Llanfyrnach.[2] Today the village is part of the community of Crymych.
There was a mill in Glandwr which has now been converted into a house.[3]
Works to gain planning permission for the Lammas Ecovillage project started in December 2006 and it took until August 2009 for permission to be granted.[4] It is located just north-east of Glandwr.
The place name Glandwr means river bank in Welsh.
