HD 80606 b

The exotic exoplanet HD 80606 b orbits the yellow dwarf star HD 80606, one of a pair in a binary star system 215 lightyears from the Solar system.[1][2]

HD 80606 b's mass is 4 times that of our Planet Jupiter.[1][2] It orbit is quite eccentric. It ranges from 0.85 astronomical units from its star to 0.03 astronomical units, which is 10 times closer than Planet Mercury gets to Sol, our sun. It takes just over 111 days to do so. This should cause massive swings in temperature of its surface layers.
