River Aeron
Appearance

The River Aeron (Afon Aeron in Welsh) is a river in Ceredigion, Wales. In the past it was spelt Ayron.
The source of the river is at Llyn Eiddwen. It then flows through the villages of Talsarn, Felinfach, Ystrad Aeron, and Ciliau Aeron, before exiting into Cardigan Bay at the town of Aberaeron.
The name comes from Aeron, thought to be a Welsh god of war. That came from the Middle Welsh word 'aer' meaning slaughter.
