Sicilian language

The Sicilian language is the language of Sicily, part of modern Italy. Like the Italian language and the Sardinian language, it is a romance language, derived from Latin, the language of ancient Rome. Prior to the creation of the modern Italian state dozens of regional languages were spoken in Italy. Sicilian and Sardinian are two regional languages that remain robust.
