Sloping armor is armor designed to take blows at an angle. This makes it stronger than an equivalent thickness of flat armor.
Examples:
- Morion - Spanish helmet with high peaks and a comb designed to deflect sword blows
- T-34 tank - first widespread use of sloping armor in tanks
