Spencer Carbine Mod 1865 .50 caliber

The Spencer carbine was a firearm produced during the American Civil War and wielded mainly by Union cavalry. It was based on the Spencer Repeating Rifle, but had a shorter barrel to make it easier to carry and handle.

The Spencer carbine had a decisive effect in the cavalry clashes east of Gettysburg when Jeb Stuarts group ran into Union cavalry led by George Custer.
