Tunisia is a country in North Africa, located along the Mediterranean Coast between Algeria and Libya.

The site of ancient Carthage, the area was an important part of the Roman Empire. It was conquered by the Vandals before reverting to the eastern Roman Empire. In the 7th century it was conquered by Muslim Arabs.
